Building deeper relationships and communicating with your donors in the way in which they prefer is the key to securing funding sooner. To accomplish this, you must be able to recognize the four social styles, know which category you belong to and then modify yours to suit the person with whom you are engaged.
You must be able to present your story in a manner which resonates well with your donor. Do you present lots of data and all the facts which the 'analytical' prefers or do you have opinions and testimonials ready to share which 'amiables' prefer.
And what do you do if conflict should arise? Each of the social types has a different back up behaviour. Be ready to learn what that is and how you should respond to it.
